NATURE CLASS ON SUNDAYS (March and April 2025)
We're building community, and ever more eco-projects, at Casa Comfort. From 3-5 on Sundays (rain or shine) we'll learn together with a five-part curriculum: fungi, hugelkultur, compost, rainwater, and natives -- plus kid-driven art. There'll be guest speakers and hands-on projects to do and folks to chat with. Free. Donations accepted (Venmo @Nonprofit-Wellness)
This form is required to be signed by (parents of) Nature Class (or Yoga class) participants.
You can print, sign and email or bring to class (I will have copies). I do have insurance for these activities, but the release is still helpful.

Pictured here is the former native pant mural, which was power-washed by Takoma Park City Government.
We created a movement sidewalk during covid. After three years, someone called it in as graffiti. Here's the DCist story that sparked a bunch of other coverage, like this Channel 4 piece. Now, a 9th grader on the Takoma Park Youth Council is carrying this issue forward, and Susan has been appointed to the TkPk Arts & Humanities Committee.
In July 2023, MPH candidate Ellie B presented this deck of other cities' painting solutions to Takoma Park City Council in hopes of spurring change.
